With the right support and strategies, it is possible to manage and overcome anxiety.

Are you constantly worrying over everyday things, feeling held back by persistent fear, racing thoughts, or physical symptoms like sweating and dizziness? Does anxiety seem to limit your ability to fully engage in and enjoy life’s experiences or prevent you from stepping outside your comfort zone?

Let's cut to the chase. Dealing with anxiety is draining and frustrating, and it can become downright debilitating when left unaddressed.

Anxiety drains us because it keeps our body and mind in a state of constant alertness. This prolonged stress response releases hormones like adrenaline and cortisol, leading to increased heart rate, muscle tension, and fatigue. When our brains are in constant states of worry and overthinking, it depletes us energetically, disrupts our focus, hinders our ability to think clearly, and make value-based decisions. Over time, this continuous strain wears down the body and mind, leading to exhaustion, decreasing our ability to cope with daily challenges.

We’re dedicated to helping you regain control over anxiety.

Anxiety is a protective mechanism that is naturally triggered when we face danger, but it can also be triggered when there is no “real” danger. There are various types of anxiety including:  There are various types of anxiety, each with its own challenges:

  • Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD): Marked by persistent and excessive worry about various aspects of life, such as work, health, and daily activities, often accompanied by physical symptoms like restlessness, fatigue, and muscle tension.

  • Panic Disorder: Involves recurrent, unexpected panic attacks, which are sudden periods of intense fear that may include palpitations, sweating, trembling, shortness of breath, or a feeling of impending doom.

  • Social Anxiety Disorder (Social Phobia): Marked by an intense fear of social situations and being judged or scrutinized by others, leading to avoidance of social interactions and significant distress in social settings.

  • Agoraphobia: Fear and avoidance of places or situations where escape might be difficult or help unavailable in the event of a panic attack or other distressing symptoms. Commonly includes fear of open spaces, public transportation, or being outside the home alone.

  • Separation Anxiety Disorder: Commonly observed in children but can also affect adults. It involves excessive fear or anxiety about being separated from attachment figures, leading to significant distress and avoidance behaviors.

  • Selective Mutism: A complex childhood anxiety disorder characterized by a child's inability to speak in certain social situations despite being able to speak in others, often linked to social anxiety.

  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD): While OCD is often considered separately, it involves anxiety-related behaviors such as compulsions (repetitive behaviors) performed to alleviate distress caused by obsessions (intrusive, unwanted thoughts).

As lonesome as you may feel in this moment, you are not alone.

  • What if I never feel better?

  • What if I'm not good enough?

  • What if I'm unable to control my emotions?

  • What if my fears and worries never go away?

  • What if I'm unable to maintain relationships because of my anxiety?

When there isn't a specific trigger, these thoughts might seem irrational, but anxiety can amplify them, causing significant stress and feelings of embarrassment and powerlessness. Despite receiving support from others, individuals with anxiety may view themselves as a burden and withdraw from social interactions to avoid being judged. This isolation can increase feelings of loneliness and deepen anxiety. Effective management of both the emotional and physical sides of anxiety is important for restoring control and enhancing overall health.
