Behind The Balance

Behind the balance is a core belief in the forward progress of minority communities. In the chair, Sharlita helps her clients do the inner work without losing themselves in the process. As the founder of Crafting Balance Therapy, Sharlita Boyd, LCSW-C, LICSW, LCSW, MSW, offers therapeutic support and intergenerational trauma recovery education through cognitive, behavioral, and family systems frameworks. Outside of her professional work, Sharlita enjoys fitness, eco-tourism, creative projects and meditation. That same curiosity and intentionality carry into her practice, where balance, connection, and meaning guide everything she does.

“Working with Sharlita feels less like being “treated” and more like being supported by someone who brings tools and a grounded presence to each session” — a former client.
